Firstly it is Important to Determine What Success is for YOU! Success for You should be as Unique and Individual as YOU ARE!
In Determining Your Success it is important to Clarify what Success will Look, Feel and Means for YOU
Success can be a rather Daunting word because there may be times when you may not be Feeling very Successful but You actually ARE!
You may well be coping with very difficult times or your life may well just be on the go slow channel, allowing you to get your Thoughts, Energy and Life into Perspective.
Your life has many facets so therefore when you are attempting to set goals for your success. It is necessary to take into consideration all the various facets of your Life.
Then to prioritize them and break them down into smaller chunks so that they are achievable.
These areas may include your environment to work, family, how you want to be and feel, what kind of relationships to you want to have, what people do you want in your life and what do you want for you personally. Success isn’t necessarily to have the biggest house, to be filthy rich or to be better than anyone else.
Stop and Clear Your Mind
Clear your mind and I want you to think and feel from your heart what is truly important to you and this will be your base for true success. Allow this to happen without allowing any barriers, excuses or negative thoughts. Now right these down as you go through this process of what is coming to you as what you want to be your successes!
Some of the ideas that may well come to mind is loving and caring relationships, to enjoy the work that you are doing, your own home, getting married, having a family, to be financially independent, to have great health and inner strength. These are just to name a few, the importance here is for these things to come from YOU: Your Inner Core – Your Heart.
To look at the big picture of what you want, then we break it down into smaller chunks. These ideas are important because this is what you think you want for your own life. Life is not unlike a puzzle sometimes the pieces all fit together easily, then other times they can be a little harder to juggle into place.
So just start with what success means for you, it may well start with being happy for getting up in the morning, having a lovely hot shower or bath then going about the day with activities that will bring about your lifetime success and happiness.
Touching Base with Your Feelings!
For a majority of the time you may think of success as visual success: looking at other peoples lives that you may consider successful. However this can cause great pain, heartache and self doubt because firstly you are not these people: Also you don’t have a True insight into every aspect of their life. That in as much are they truly Happy, Peaceful and Healthy. Do they have close, meaningful, positive relationships – Most importantly do they have time to Stop and just Enjoy Life.
I know for me enjoying my life along the way has been vitally important, feeling a level of happiness, even when events or circumstances in my life were not necessarily all that happy or good.
To have a sense of peace that there is a higher power that I can just breathe and feel a sense of connectedness that is what success means for me. My husband Peter and I are continually working toward our lives being peaceful, happy, full of vitality and love. Enjoying and sharing our life with our family and friends. To also to enjoy be a part of their lives and journeys.
The amount of money that you make isn’t as important as the focus here to be is the money you are making: Is it enough to provide you with financial independence when you have completed your working years. So knowledge here is important for a superannuation fund to pay into during your working years as mentioned. Here one of the successes you are looking at is about having control over your life. You may not desire fancy cars or big house to consider yourself successful. The secret here is determining what you want for you inner happiness and fulfilment, not to either impress or in an attempt to make someone else happy.
It can be awfully harsh and damaging to you if you measure your success with what you believe other people may see as successful: It is detrimental to your self esteem, self confidence and your health. Always remembering that for the most part if you are Happy with your Life chances are the Important people in your life will also be Happy because you are.
When I worked out what success was for me and understanding, success was more about feeling than achievement. This gave my life a whole new meaning of enjoying my family, running my business, that I didn’t have to reach milestones of other people’s expectations, only the ones I put into place. All I have to do is to follow my dreams of wanting to connect and care about my loved ones and the people who come into my life.
This isn’t the type of success that is portrayed on television, but it is a life for which I am comfortable with and serves my family, friends everyone whom I want to come into my life.
So now look into your heart and determine your feelings of success. This gives you the very foundation to be able to structure your goals. I commence with the big ones or big picture, then I put them into categories with time frames. It is important to remember that with time frames and even the actions that these can be flexible so that you keep feeling good about what you are doing.
Start with a short list of your feelings, these may first be the feelings that you don’t want, then it is important to put in the feelings that you do want, then make them your focus. This I also like to call desires.
Putting Your Feelings for Success into Goals
Developing your Successful Life begins with defining your personal identification. By personal identification I mean to dig deep to know what and who you want to stand for.
How you want to feel throughout the process or journey that will allow you to push forward to develop the regular habit of goal setting.
Once you have finished doing this>>>>>>>>>>>>>>You are doing it aren’t YOU?
You will find that your productivity will improve at work, you will have a feeling of being proud, but not necessarily more important than anyone else. Just proud of the fact that you have achieved your work for the day. You will feel more peaceful, relaxed and happy at home because you will feel you have contributed and just by feeling this way you will have more to contribute to your family and friends, just without doing any more but just by being YOU:
When you set your goals with your feelings in mind and by defining what is really important to you, you will be much happier along the way. The important thing to remember is that it is not about how much you achieve, but how much you love what you are achieving. Remembering it is important for this love to come from your heart, not your head or ego. Yes you are right there will be hiccups (I like to call them) along the way. Events and people will bring into play
Finding success starts with a personal definition, works into how you want to feel on your journey, and is pushed even further with goal setting. Once you finish the first two, the third will just fall into place. If you want to increase your productivity at work and want to feel important but peaceful, you will work hard in the office but also try to relax at home. If you set your goals with your definition and your feelings in mind, you will find success and be happy along the way. Of course there will be bumps and it won’t always be Happy and Enjoyable, but for the most part it will be.
When setting your goals it is important to take into consideration every area of your life and to be truly successful need to fall in line with your true values and feelings. If you are just setting goals because that what every body does, then you will find yourself hitting your head up against a brick wall, with feelings of distress, anxiousness and maybe even some depression thrown in as well.
