Choosing a Health Professional

Choosing positive, supportive, and professional people for your health is one of the most important decisions you will ever make. Besides choosing a health professional, you also need to understand that your daily actions affect your health. They can impact you positively or negatively, depending on how you eat, exercise, sleep, and cope with stress.

It is important that you choose a health professional who will empower you with positive treatments and support you with lifestyle changes that you need to apply to your daily life. This can be a daunting and difficult challenge, but vital for improving your health or overcoming a serious illness or disease.

In my years of practice, I have supported my clients with their role in the Health Quadrant and what to expect to achieve the best results for their return to health. Remember that it is a two-way streak, and you need someone who will challenge and support you with the positive changes that you have to make.

When you choose a health professional or health professionals to work with you on your health, it should be a two-way street. The medical profession today has marvellous breakthroughs that can assist people with their health.

But the most important thing to remember is that the less harm you cause to your health and the more effort you put into achieving and maintaining a healthier you, the more successful your recovery will be from a health crisis or an accident.

To Enjoy the Best Quality of Life, to achieve optimal health, happiness and vitality. It is vital that the decision to make healthy lifestyle choices becomes a priority. This is the greatest personal investment that you will ever make.

Investing in your health isn’t only about the financial aspect. It is where your health takes centre place in your life. This requires understanding your body, how it functions, how you can best support it to function optimally. This involves every aspect of your life. The food you eat, the thoughts you think, the people you interact with, making health care choices that will empower your health and life. By learning how to take control and accountability for your health you will improve your quality of health, and your quality of life.

1: Ask Around (Get a second or even third opinion) – What is interesting that when it comes to choosing people to do building work to our homes –
We will ask our friends and colleagues for recommendations and do some inquiry into who is the right person for the job.

However, when it comes to body there doesn’t seem to be the same concerns or level of enquiries made. If you are unwell, you will just head off to a Doctor then then may be referred to a Specialist, without considering whether what this health professional is going to prescribe or do to you as to whether this is going to help you in becoming better or will it cause you further harm.

It is common to just take what medication that is prescribed or have the operation that is mentioned without questioning the consequences or outcomes.

2: Let’s compare this to your car as you all like your car to run efficiently and don’t like the inconvenience of it breaking down.  So as an example, what if you take out the motor will it work, if you put in a motor that isn’t the right one for the model of your car will it work, if you put in wrong fuel, oil, maybe include some sugar or water in the petrol tank just for good measure.

How will this affect the running of your vehicle well your body is similar, except for one major factor that without the correct treatment your body will not heal and the chances of you becoming incapacitated and even dying have risen because of not doing your homework or asking questions.

3: Treating your Body with Respect for Optimal Results: What do you think might happen people spend years smoking cigarettes, taking drugs, drinking excessive quantities of alcohol, eating unhealthy food and engaging with unhealthy relationships. Even though as you may have seen with many people the body can be very resilient and seems to be able to take a great deal of abuse before it breaks down. However, when the time comes and diagnosis is made of a disease or health problem, the chances of recovery are minimal, and any quality of life has been lost.

4: It is important for Therapies & Treatments Improve & Restore Function: Medically prescribed medications, that is the best way that I can describe them for you, they may provide some initial benefits, but when it comes to return of health long term, they can cause further health problems because of their side effects and having a detrimental effect on the body’s ability to function in unison.
